Hi, my name is Geoff and I’m the proud owner and director of Acme Arb Ltd.
Ever since I was a small boy I have loved trees. We used to have a tree in our garden at Glencoe Road, Sheffield and I was sad to leave it when we moved in 1984. But as coincidence would have it, some 30 odd years later…
A new Acme Arb customer had chosen us to give a quote, to trim some branches of a tree at the bottom of their garden. Imagine my surprise and excitement when they gave my old childhood home address. It gave me great joy to be able to climb “my” tree, the first time since 1980, and complete some remedial work, allowing her to continue to flourished and grown for, hopefully, another 30 years.
This is How it Began
After working with trees throughout my previous employment, I eventually decided to take the plunge and follow my lifelong passion, by starting my own company. ‘Acme Tree Surgery’ was born as a sole trading tree surgery company in 2009. Since then it has grown, developed and evolved over the years.
Today, we have Acme Arb Ltd and my focus is now as it always has been. to offer the best possible service to our growing customer base.
Our clients are generally discerning and knowledgeable and prefer a professional, problem free and pro-active approach taken on their behalf to suit the specific tree management requirements of their garden, site or organization.
I also take pride in providing high level, ongoing company “Continued Professional Development” and am sure that this is a significant contributor in building the excellent team that we have.
All our arborist team are I.S.A Certified Arborists (or are currently training for this exam) to independently verify and continually improve our knowledge and skills.
Our office co-ordinator (your main point of contact) also studied alongside our arborists for the I.S.A Certified Arborist training to complement her existing background in office management so she can clearly understand the jargon as well the possibilities.
As we are Arboriculture Association Approved Contractors we are also independently audited to an extremely high standard on our safety, systems and work quality continually.
